What's a pubnix?

A *nix server, Linux in this case, open to the public. Think of it as an online apartment building with great neighbors. Check out the site list below!

Purpose

We believe the Web can and should be both personal and fun. This project aims to provide tools for learning Linux, HTML, and related technologies for any interested individual.

Specifications

This server runs Alpine on a single-CPU virtual machine with 1GB RAM in Toronto, from LunaNode. While affordability is a big thing, a smaller VM shows that one doesn't need fancy tools to build stuff.

Software is kept minimal as well: UFW, nginx, nano, and Midnight Commander for convenience.
